Product Description

Malta publishes a series of seven BU sets which have as subject the Maltese prehistoric monuments. The subject of this series is the Maltese prehistoric monuments. The Ta 'Hagrat temples in Mgarr are one of the oldest temples in Malta and date from the Ggantija phase. This phase was approximately between 3600 to 3200 BC (now known as BCE - before the common era). To build the temple of Ta 'Hagrat coralline limestone was used, this type of stone is the oldest type of stone that can be found on the surface of the islands of Malta. The temple complex consists of a total of three temples. The smaller of the temples is adjacent to the larger temple on the north side. In comparison with the other temples in Malta these buildings can be called relatively small. The most extraordinary find of all time is a scale model of this temple. The conclusion from this is that careful thought has been given to the construction of this impressive temple. In this beautifully illustrated BU set from Malta 2019 the complete series of 2019 Euro coins from Malta is packed. The special 2 Euro coin 2019 'Ta 'Hagrat' temples is included in this series as an extra coin. This series of coins were minted in France, as can be seen from the letter 'F' that can be found in the lower star of the coins. The edition of this set is only 15,000 copies!
