Monaco 2 Euro 2019 Prince Honoré V

Prince Honoré V (13/05/1778 - 02/10/1841) was the Prince of Monaco and Duke of Valentinois. The people were not really positive about Prince Honoré V, he kept everything as his own and was stingy for the rest, even for his family, and was seen by many as a narcissist. Prince Honoré V was invisible to the public, and the population felt themselves milked out under his reign, and this gradually crumbled the monarchy. Too late, he tried to alleviate the prevailing poverty by creating jobs and opening factories. His efforts still did not make him popular with the people. After his death on October 2, 1841, his brother Florestan I took over. Because his wife, Princess Caroline, was loved by the people Monaco flourished again. Princess Caroline was known for her intelligence and her social skills. Due to his ascension to the throne 200 years ago Monaco decided to issue a coin with Prince Honoré V as its subject. On the face of the coin is a portrait of Prince Honoré V. To the left of this portrait is the text 'Honoré V' while to the right is the country name of Monaco. Centrally, at the bottom of the coin, is the word 'avènement' (the rise of the throne) with, on the left, the year of the fight against the throne 1819 - on the right is the year of issue 2019. The quality of the coin is Proof and it is presented in a luxury package. A certificate of authenticity is also supplied with the coin, the circulation of which is only 15,000 copies!
