Portugal 2 Euro 2021 Presidency of the EU Coincard

Portugal has issued a 2 Euro coin with the theme 'Presidency of the EU'. Portugal has been a member of the European Union since 1986 and introduced the Euro as legal tender in 2002. Portugal will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1st January, 2021 to 30th June, 2021. It is the second time that Portugal has held the Presidency of this Council, the previous occasion was from 1st July, 2007 to 31st December, 2007. For Portugal, this is such a special event that they have issued a special 2 Euro coin to celebrate it. Several rays are depicted on the face of this coin, which symbolize the mission of the Portuguese Presidency in the EU to all those who disperse it in the Eurozone. Furthermore, the text 'PRESIDENCIA DO CONSELHO DA UNIAO EUROPEIA' (Presidency of the EU) with the country name, Portugal, and the year of issue, 2021, are shown. This 2021 Portuguese 2 Euro coin 'Presidency of the EU' is mounted in a Coincard. The face of the coin is beautifully displayed on the front of the Coincard. On the back of the Coincard the technical data of the coin is printed. The quality of the coin is BU (Brilliant Uncirculated).
