Portugal 5 Euro 2022 'Lourinhanosaurus'. Portugal has issued a 5 Euro coin with the theme of Lourinhanosaurus antunes which was a carnivorous dinosaur that lived in Portugal. The skeleton of this dinosaur was discovered in 1982 on a farmer's land! He himself removed the rock, which unfortunately also damaged many parts of the skeleton. In the end he donated the dinosaur skeleton to the museum. The Lourinhanosaurus antunes was almost 7 metres long and weighed more than 400 kilograms. The Lourinhanosaurus antunes laid eggs, and there could be as many as 60 in a nest! One of the most extraordinary finds ever was a complete nest of Lourinhanosaurus eggs containing complete embryos. On the face of the coin a Lourinhanosaurus antunes is shown hatching from its egg. Its name is also displayed. On the reverse is a Lourinhanosaurus antunes embryo.
