Portugal 7,5 Euro 2018 Souto de Moura

This special 7,5 Euro from Portugal 2018 is a coin in which the roles are reversed. The coin was designed by Avarzo Siza and is dedicated to Eduardo Souto de Moura. These two internationally recognized celebrities in Portuguese architecture have won several awards in their field. The coin designed by Alvaro Siza characterizes nature and construction, the work which is depicted independently on both the face and the reverse of the coin. Both sides are in complete dialogue with each other. On the face of the coin is an image of a kind of tower above which is the text Eduardo Souto de Moura. On the reverse of the coin is an abstract drawing with the coat of arms of Portugal to the left. At the top of the coin is the text Republica Portuguesa next to which are the year 2018 and the value indication of 7,5 Euro.
