San Marino 1 Euro 2021. This is the 2021 San Marino 1 Euro coin. On this coin the second Tower of San Marino is depicted. The Second Tower of San Marino, called Cesta or Fratta, was built around 1200/1250 on the remains of an old Roman Fort. This fort stood at the highest point of San Marino, the Monte Titano, at about 750 metres above sea level. The Adriatic Sea can be seen clearly from the Second Tower. In 1925 the tower was restored to its original construction. Currently the museum of San Marino and the Museum of Historical Weapons are housed in the tower. The coin depicts the Second Tower of San Marino de Cesta. At the top left of the coin is the country name San Marino and at the top right of the coin is the year 2021. In the outer ring of the coin are the 12 stars of Europe. This coin is, of course, legal tender.
