San Marino 5 Euro 2019 Zodiac Gemini

In 2019 San Marino issued no less than four 5 Euro coins dedicated to the constellations. San Marino started in the year 2018 with this series of 5 Euro coins with the theme Zodiac. The zodiac can be seen on the celestial sphere and there are 12 different constellations. The sixth coin from this series has the theme Gemini. The sun is in this constellation from May 21 to June 21. The Gemini twins are depicted on the face of the coin with the word 'Gemini' above. At the top of the coin the year 2019 is shown whilst at the bottom of the coin is the value indication of 5 Euro. In the outer circle of the coin the zodiac sign of Gemini is repeated 10-fold. The reverse of this series of bronze coins is the same. In the centre the sun is depicted with the three leaves of the Republic of San Marino. Around the sun are the 12 phases of the moon. The country name 'Repubblica di San Marino' (Republic of San Marino) encircles these 12 phases. The 12 different Zodiac signs are shown in the outer ring of the coin.
