San Marino 5 Euro Athletics & 10 Euro Ludwig van Beethoven

San Marino issues a Silver €5 & a silver €10 coin every year. This year the coins are dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven and the athletics championships of the small states of Europe. These championships are held for the first time in San Marino. The 5 Euro coin depicts a woman taking part in the hurdling competition. At the top of the coin is the text 'Atletica Leggera 2020' (Athletics 2020). The value of the coin (5 Euro) is shown at the bottom right. The 10 Euro 2020 is all about Ludwig van Beethoven. Beethoven was a German composer, conductor and musician. Ludwig van Beethoven is one of the most famous composers who ever lived. His work 'Für Elise' (For Elise) is one of his best known works. His works have had significant influences in nineteenth-century music. At the age of eleven Ludwig van Beethoven wrote his first compositions, his first work appeared in 1792, the 'Dressler-Variations'. Beethoven left for Vienna for a short while in 1787 where he took lessons with another magnificent composer, Mozart. It has been 250 years since Ludwig van Beethoven was born, which is why San Marino has issued a coin about him. The coin shows Ludwig van Beethoven playing a piano. His name, Beethoven, is displayed in the top left corner and on the right is his year of birth along with the current year, 2020. The value indication of 10 Euro is shown in the middle of the coin. The coins are of the quality proof and are delivered in a luxury case with a certificate of authenticity.
