San Marino 50 Cent 2019

This is the 50 cent coin of San Marino 2019. This coin shows part of the painting "the Appearance of Saint Martin". This painting hangs in the San Marino parliament building and was painted in 1894 by Emilio Retrosi. A portion of the painting where St. Martin has an open book in his left hand, with the Latin text "Relingue vos liberos utroque ab homine", is depicted. These were probably the last words of Saint Martin (San Marino) in which he wanted to give the people of San Marino - Freedom. On the left side of the coin, vertically, is the country name San Marino, whilst on the right side of the coin the year 2019 is shown.
