San Marino 50 cent 2020

This is the 2020 San Marino 50 cent coin. This coin shows part of the painting 'The Apparition of Saint Martin'. This painting hangs in the parliament building of San Marino and was painted in 1894 by Emilio Retrosi. A part of the painting is shown where Saint Martin has an open book in his left hand with the Latin text 'Relingue vos liberos utroque ab homine'. These were probably the last words of Saint Martin (San Marino) in which he wanted to give Freedom to the people of San Marino. The country name 'San Marino' is shown vertically on the left side of the coin and the year 2020 is shown on the right side of the coin.
