Michal Bosák was a European-American philanthropist and banker born in Slovakia. Michal Bosák (1869-1937) moved to America in 1886 at the age of 17. He started as a miner but his passion was in the banking system. In 1897 he founded the private bank 'Michael Bosak Privat Bank'. His bank is currently the largest Slovak bank in the United States.Michal Bosák was an ingenious investor in addition to being a banker. Michal Bosák helped many Slovak immigrants who turned to him, and he was known as a beloved person. On the old American 10 Dollar bills the signature of Michal Bosák appears! On the face of the coin is an image of this 10 Dollar bill, signed by Michal Bosák. Part of the official document 'The Pittsburgh Agreement' is also depicted. It contained the agreement between Slovak expat communities in the United States of America. Also on the face of the coin is the façade of the former branch of the American-Slovak Bank. The value indication of 10 Euro is shown on the right, whilst on the left is the country name SLOVENSKO (Slovakia) together with the year 2019. On the reverse of the coin a portrait of Michal Bosák and a fragment of his bank, along with the official logo are displayed. His name is shown at the bottom of the coin. The coin is packed in a coin capsule.
