Product Description

The Slovak National Theatre (Slovenské národné divadlo), often abbreviated to SND, is the second oldest theatre known to Slovakia and is located in the centre of Bratislava. In the theatre both ballet performances and opera performances were given. The theatre used to be called the Municipal Theatre (Városi Színház). The renovation of the theatre began in 1986. The renovation lasted no less than 21 years and in 2007 the theatre was opened to the public. On the face of the coin is an image of the façade of this old theatre. At the top of the coin is the country name 'Slovensko' (Slovakia) and at the bottom of the coin the year of issue, 2020, is equally spaced each side of the Slovakian coat of arms. On the reverse of the coin is the text 'Slovenské národné divadlo výrocia zalo × eni' (100 years of establishment of the Slovak National Theatre). In the centre of the coin is the logo of this theatre with two masks, representing comedy and tragedy, underneath. The value indication of 10 Euro is shown at the top. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
