Product Description
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an economic partnership signed by 37 countries. The OECD was founded in 1961, non-European countries could also become members. Some of the key topics that are always discussed by the OECD are human rights, employment, environment, science and technology. Member states try to achieve the highest possible sustainable growth and contribute to the expansion of world trade. Slovakia joined the OECD 20 years ago, in the year 2000, which is why Slovakia has decided to issue a special 2 Euro coin with this as its subject. The face of the coin features a detail of the OECD logo below which is the text 'VYROCIE VSTYP SR DO OECD' (20th anniversary year of OECD accession). Also displayed is the country name Slovensko (Slovakia), the coat of arms of Slovakia and the year of issue, 2020. The coin is mounted in a coincard, with a circulation of 5,000 copies.
