Slovakia 2 Euro 2022 'Erasmus' Coincard. No fewer than 19 countries are issuing this 2022 special 2 Euro coin 'Erasmus'. This common coin, with the theme 'Erasmus programme', will be issued by (almost) all countries on 1st July 2022. This coin was designed by Joaquin Jimenez. The Erasmus programme aims to promote (international) student exchanges for study or internship as much as possible. More than 3,000 colleges and universities are registered as participants and millions of students have already made use of the programme. The Erasmus programme gives students the opportunity to live and learn in a foreign country, raising the European mentality enormously. On the face of the coin is an image of Desiderius Erasmus, a Dutch author, writing a book. Furthermore, one sees the number '35' and all colleges and universities are linked to each other via (imaginary) lines. Finally, the years 1987 - 2022, the name 'ERASMUS PROGRAMME' and the country name SLOVENSKO (Slovakia) are displayed. The coin is mounted in a Coincard with a circulation of only 4,000 copies.
