Slovakia 2 Euro 2022 'Erasmus' Proof. No fewer than 19 countries are issuing this 2022 special 2 Euro coin 'Erasmus'. This common coin, with the Erasmus programme as the theme, will be issued by (almost) all countries on 1st July 2022. This coin was designed by Joaquin Jimenez. The Erasmus programme aims to promote student exchanges (international) for study or internship as much as possible. More than 3,000 colleges and universities are registered as participants and millions of students have already made use of the Erasmus programme, which gives students the opportunity to live and learn in a foreign country, raising the European mentality enormously. On the face of the coin is an image of Desiderius Erasmus, a Dutch author, writing a book. Furthermore, the number 35 is shown and all colleges and universities are linked to each other via (imaginary) lines. Finally, the years 1987 - 2022 and the name of the programme ERASMUS PROGRAMME are displayed along with the country name SLOVENSKO (Slovakia). The coin is presented in a beautiful case and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
