2022 Slovakia 5 Euro coin 'Lynx'. Slovakia has issued the fourth coin from the series 'Flora and Fauna in Slovakia'. Every plant and animal fulfils its role on this planet, creating and maintaining our fragile ecosystem. Unfortunately, we see that the ecosystem is deteriorating rapidly and that many animals are dying out and plants are disappearing from our beautiful earth. The Lynx often lives high in the mountains and can manoeuvre well in the snow! A Lynx weighs about 25 kilos, can grow to over a metre and has a short tail with a black tip. They mainly hunt from ambush, hiding behind trees, rocks and in the tall grass. A Lynx is depicted on the face of the coin. On the reverse is a Lynx with her cub, the country name, Slovensko, the year of issue 2022 and the value indication of 5 Euro.
