Born on 6th January, 1807 Joseph (Maximilian) Petzval was a physicist and inventor best known for his work in optics. Joseph Petzval was a German-Hungarian genius who studied, and later taught, at the 'Institutum Geometricum' in Budapest. Joseph Petzval was a genius in geometrical optics and invented, among other things, the portrait lens and opera glasses. According to Joseph Petzval a lot can be invented when one has time to rest the brain in nature. He could often be found in nature, where he rode his black Arabian horse. All eight coins are packed in this 2020 Slovakian BU set. Only 2,000 copies of this set have been produced.
