Slovakia BU 2020 Paintings from Serbia

The theme of this third BU set of Slovakia 2020 is 'Painting from Serbia'. The set is dedicated to the city 'Kovacica' which is located in the north of Serbia. Serbia is one of the few countries where Slovak is spoken. 42% of the inhabitants of Kovacica are Slovaks making them the largest population group in this city. Kovacica has become famous for its traditional crafts, especially for the Naive art. In 1955 the Gallery of Naive Art opened in Kovacica, which attracts many thousands of visitors every year. Well-known painters from Kovacica were Vieroslavana Svetlik, Anna Pavlov and Pavel Hajko. In this BU set all 8 coins are packed with an additional coloured medal, this medal shows a detail of the work of Eva Husarikova. The set shows a number of paintings and all known painters from Kovacica are depicted.
