Slovenia 3 Euro 2020 '30 Years Independence' Proof

Slovenia has issued a 3 Euro coin with the theme '30 years of Independence'. During a plebiscite on 23rd December, almost 90% of the Slovenian population indicated that they wanted to be independent. On 7th March, 1990, the state of the Republic of Slovenia was proclaimed and on 25th June, Slovenia declared its independence. The 10-day war that followed was ended by the Brioni Agreement. The Republic of Slovenia and Yugoslavia hereby signed the independence of Slovenia under the supervision of the European Community. To commemorate the fact that Slovenia has now been independent for 30 years, a 3 Euro coin has been issued. On the face of the coin is the text 'SAMO STOJNA DRZAVA' (the free state) below which is the text '30. OBLETNICA PLEBISCITA' (30th anniversary) On the reverse of the coin is the date 23-12-1990, the date of the plebiscite. Furthermore, the country name Slovenija (Slovenia), the year of issue 2020 and the value indication of 3 Euro are shown. This is the 'proof' version of the Slovenian 3 Euro coin with the theme '30 years of Independence', as described above. The quality of this coin is proof, the highest possible quality. The production of this 3 Euro '30 years of Independence' in the quality proof is only 750 copies and was sold out within an hour.
