Product Description
Here is the 2019 UNC set from Slovenia. Slovenia introduced the Euro as the country's currency on the 1st January 2007. The Slovenian coins have a strong Slovenian national character. On the 1 cent coin is a stork whilst the 2-cent coin shows the royal stone of Karantania. This sounds like Carinthia, the southernmost province of Austria, to which the Slovenes have been linked for decades. The 5 cent coin shows the sower who sows 25 stars. On the 10 cent coin the Cathedral of Zobode is depicted. The 20 cent coin shows a pair of Lipizzaner horses. The 50 cent coin shows the highest mountain in Slovenia, the Triglav, which is almost 3 kilometres high! On the 1 Euro coin is an image of Primoz Trubar while on the 2 Euro is a silhouette of a bust of the poet France Preseren with a fragment of one of his works. The number of Slovenian coins minted in 2019 is extremely low.
