Spain 10 Euro 2022 'Santiago Ramon y Cajal'. Ramon y Cajal was a Spanish histologist (a person who studies functions of organisms and tissue). Ramon y Cajal specialized in human tissues, mainly focusing on the nervous system. He was born on 1st May, 1852 in Petilla de Aragón. In 1906 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for developing a technique that gave human neurons colours. On the face of the coin is portrait of Ramon y Cajal.
