Spain 2 Euro 2022 'Garanojay National Park'. The Garanojay National Park is located in the middle of the Canary Island of 'La Gomera'. The park is almost 4,000 hectares (40 sq. km.) more than 70% of which consists of laurel forest, a habitat that no longer occurs in southern Europe. Almost 25% of all plant species are native and only occur on this island. In addition almost 1000 different animals live in the Garanojay National Park of which almost 150 species are endemic, meaning they only live in this park!
