2021 Vatican 10 Euro coin 'UNESCO'. UNESCO was established on 16th November, 1945 at the end of World War II to ensure lasting peace. The acronym UNESCO stands for 'United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization'. UNESCO is committed to, among other things building peace, reducing poverty, sustainable development and quality education for all. St. Peter's Basilica is depicted on the face of the coin. Furthermore, a Dove of Peace is seen in flight with an olive branch in its beak. The country name 'Citta del Vaticano' (Vatican City) is also displayed. In the centre of the reverse of the coin is the Papal Coat of Arms together with the Pope's motto 'Miserande Atque Elegendo' (Chosen by Grace). The coin is presented in a numbered cassette and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
