2022 Vatican 20 Euro Proof coin 'Saint Peter's Basilica Dome'. The Vatican has issued a 20 Euro coin on which the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica is depicted. Many important architects and artists spent nearly a century designing and building the Dome. Donato Bramante, Raffaello Sanzio and Michelangelo Buonarroti, among others, were allowed to work on this beautiful building! The construction of this immense Dome began in the year 1500 and took almost 100 years to complete! On the face of the coin is an image of this Dome. Furthermore, the year of issue, 2022, and the value indication of 20 Euro are displayed. The reverse of the coin features the coat of arms of the Vatican below which is the text 'MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO' (chosen by grace). The quality of the coin is proof.
