Vatican 5 & 10 Euro 2022 'Peter and Andrew'. Peter and Andrew were two brothers who were also two apostles. Peter literally means 'Rock'. Jesus tells that he is building a church on his rock - because of this Peter is seen as the most important apostle, and as the first pope. Andrew is considered the founder of the Church of Byzantium, of which he was the first bishop. On the face of the 2022 special 5 Euro coin is an image of Petrus (Peter) and on the face of the 2022 special 10 Euro coin is an image of Andreas (Andrew). In the centre of the reverse of both coins the Papal Coat of Arms is shown. The Pope's motto 'Miserande Atque Elegendo' (Chosen by Grace) is also featured. The coins are presented in numbered cassettes and are supplied with certificates of authenticity.
