Finland 2 Euro 2018 Koli National Park

This particular 2018 Finnish 2 Euro coin is centred on the Koli National Park. In Finland they were allowed to vote which nine parks are, in their opinion, the most popular parks in Finland. The park that got the most votes was the Koli National Park. This park is located in North Karelia, in the east of Finland near Russia. The park has an area of approximately 30 sq.km. On the coin is an image taken from the top of the Ukko-Koli mountain. This mountain is 347 metres high. In the background is the Pielinen lake. The photo was taken in 2009 by the photographer Juha-Pekka Järvenpää. On the left side of the coin are the letters æFIÆ, the abbreviation of the country name Finland. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2018. The quality of this coin is UNC (Uncirculated).
