Finland 20 Euro 2017 Finlands Independence

On December 6, 1917 the realisation of the Republic of Finland was a fact. The parliament met for the first time on that day. A historic moment for this new independent Republic of Finland. As part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic Finland has issued a special coin, with a nominal value of 20 Euro. On the face of the coin is the Heimola building. The parliament convened for the first time in this building and served until 1931. On the right side of the coin in an arc is the country name Finland (Swedish) and Suomi (Finnish). To the right of the country name, also in an arc, is the Finnish text æSuomen Itsenäisyys 6.12.1917Æ next to which is the Swedish text æFinland SjälvständighetÆ (Finnish independence). Furthermore, the value indication of 20 Euro is shown on the right while at the bottom of the coin is the year 2017. On the reverse of the coin is an excerpt from the declaration of independence in Swedish and in Finnish. The coin is presented in a luxury birch-wood packaging and is supplied with a certificate. The issue of the coin is equal to the year of 2017, thus 2017 copies. The coin was completely sold out on the day of issue!
