Finland 5 Euro 2016 Stahlberg Proof

This is the first coin of a series of Finnish coins that have the theme of the Finnish Presidents. After Finland became an independent country in 1917, Kaarlo Juho Ståhlberg (1865-1952) became the first president of Finland in 1919. Because it is customary that, apart from heads of state, only deceased persons are depicted on Euro coins, this will be a series of 8 coins for the time being. This first coin (Ståhlberg) will be issued in 2016 and the last coin will be issued in 2017 to coincide with the celebration of 100 years Finland.
