France 2 Euro 2022 Normal. France has changed its coin design for the 2 Euro coin. It has been 20 years since the Euro was introduced, and after 13 years, France will once again become the President of the Council of the European Union. These two major events led France to change their coin design. The design of this Normal 2 Euro coin is based on the emblem of France. On the face of the coin the tree of life is depicted in front of a broad shield. The tree of life consists of an olive branch which symbolizes peace, and of an oak branch which stands for permanence. Furthermore, the motto of France û Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity) is reproduced. Also displayed is the Mint mark 'Cornucopia'and Joaquin Jimenez's Mint master Mark (which is a square embossed with the initials J.J. and two rhinoceros horns). The country designation 'RF' (République Française) is shown at the bottom along with the year of issue, 2022.
