Germany 2 Euro 2019 Federal Council set of 5 coins

Since 2006 Germany has issued a series of coins in which a Bundesland (Federal State) is central. A representative building or monument of the relevant Bundesland is shown on these special 2 Euro coins. The order of the federal states depends on the presidency of the Federal Council. In 2006, the Bundesland Schleswig Holstein was the President of the Federal Council. In the year 2019, Schleswig Holstein is once again the chairman of the Bundesrat and the series must be suspended. In the year 2019 it was decided to depict an alternative building on this special 2 Euro coin. In the year 2020 the series will continue with Brandenburg, in 2021 it is the turn of Sachsen-Anhalt and the series will be completed in 2022 with the Bundesland Thuringia. On the coin of the year 2019 the facade of the building of the "Bundesrat" (Federal Council) is depicted. This building can be found in Berlin. At the top of the coin you is the year 2019 and at the bottom of the coin the name æBundesratÆ is shown. Below this is the lett er "D" which indicates the country name Deutschland (Germany). The letter of the mint's location is shown at the top left of the coin. This series of five coins show a different mint letter on each coin according to the mint where the coin was struck.
