Germany 5 Euro 2019 Proof Temperate Zone

This is the third coin from the German five-part series of 5 Euro coins that deal with the Climate Zones of the Earth. This series of coins with a coloured ring will be issued in the years 2017 to 2021. The colours of the rings are as follows - 2017 = red, 2018 = orange, 2019 = green, 2020 = turquoise and 2021 = purple. The 2019 German 5 Euro has theme of the Temperate Zone and has a green ring. The temperate zone, also referred to as the warm temperate climate, is located in the northern. It is a humid climate with mild temperatures all year round such as that of most of the European mainland. There are clear seasons but the difference between winters and summers is not extreme. On the face of the coin a rabbit is depicted sitting under an overhanging branch in a hilly area. The green-coloured ring fits perfectly with the colour of the Temperate Zone. At the bottom of the coin is the text 'GEMÄSSIGTE ZONE' (Temperate Zone). The reverse side of this series of coins is always the same. In the centre is the Federal Eagle above which is the letter indicating the mint where the coin was struck. The coin is minted in five different places, as can be seen from the letter of the mint and the shade of the green rings. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2019. In the outer ring of the coin the country name 'Bundesrepublik Deutschland' (Federal Republic of Germany) is shown. The 12 stars of Europe are shown unevenly distributed around the value indication of €5. Furthermore, the green ring, which is made from a Polymer material, is immediately recognizable. The edge lettering of the coin is KLIMAZONEN DER ERDE (Climate zones of the Earth). The quality of the coins is Proof which means that the coins are struck with a special stamp. The coins are pres ented in a luxury Plexiglas packaging to do even more justice to this beautiful coin. A green band has been made around this packaging to further emphasize the green ring of the coin. The series consists of the coins from all five of the German mints.
