Italy 2 Euro 2018 Ministry of Health

The Italian Ministry of Health (Ministero della Salute) was founded on March 13, 1958. The head office is in Rome. It is the central body in the field of National Health, public health protection, health and safety conditions, hygiene and food safety and more important health issues. In the year 2018 it will be 60 years since the Italian Ministry of Health was established and in memory of this Italy has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On the coin an abstract representation of the symbols that are important for public health is given. These are Environment, Research, Nutrition and Medicine which are represented, inter alia, in the form of a fish and an ear of corn. On the left side of the coin is a random image of a woman's face. At the top of the coin is the text Ministero della Salute (Ministry of Health) and the years 1958 and 2018 in a semi-circle.
