Lithuania 1,5 Euro 2018 Ice Fishing

Ice fishing is a popular hobby in Lithuania. During the harsh winters in Lithuania the fishermen go to the lakes and cut holes in the ice. A hammer is used to beat rhythmically on the ice to attract the curious fish which are then caught in a net. It is very special to see that this hobby is well-practised everywhere on the ice are people sitting in chairs trying to catch as many fish as possible! On the face of the coin are two hands that hit the ice with a hammer. In addition, one sees the hole in the ice. Furthermore, at the top the country name Lietuva (Lithuania) is shown whilst at the bottom a number of fish that have been caught are shown together with the value indication of 1.5 Euro. On the reverse of the coin a net is shown in the ice-hole in which the fish are caught.
