Malta BU 2023

Malta BU 2023. Malta has released a BU set with the theme 'Nicholas Copernicus'. Nicholas Copernicus was an astronomer and mathematician who placed the sun, instead of the Earth, at the centre of the universe. He did this using a heliocentric model. Nicholas Copernicus was born in the Hanseatic city of Thorn, which was under Polish authority. He spoke no fewer than 7 languages, including Latin, Greek, Italian, Polish and German. He was born 550 years ago, in the year 1473. The complete series of Euro coins from Malta 2023 is included in this beautifully illustrated 2023 Maltese BU set. The special 2 Euro coin 'Nicholas Copernicus' is packaged as an extra coin in this set. The edition of this set is only 10,000 copies!
