Monaco BU 2020

This is the 2020 BU set of Monaco. Monaco has been allowed to issue its own coins from the year 1640. The Grimaldi coat of arms is always shown on the coins of Monaco. The first BU sets from Monaco were only released in 1974. From the year 2001 Monaco has issued Euro coins and the first BU set of Monaco with Euro coins was also issued. Prince Albert II has been Prince of Monaco since July 2005 and is also head of the House of Grimaldi. The first Euro coins of Prince Albert were issued from 2006, his image can be seen on the 1 Euro and 2 Euro coins of Monaco. The 1, 2 & 5 cent coins show the Grimaldi coat of arms and the 10, 20 & 50 cent coins show the monogram of Prince Albert. Many coins from Monaco 2020 will not come into circulation and are exclusively packaged in this luxury set. The circulation of this set is only 7,000 copies.
