Portugal FDC 2022

This is the FDC set of Portugal 2022 which comprises all 8 denominations of coins. This means the 2022 Portuguese 1 cent coin up to and including the normal 2 Euro coin. The images on the Portuguese coins are based on ancient royal seals of Dom Afonso Henriques. The Royal seal from the year 1134 is shown on the 1, 2 and 5 cent coins. On the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins the Royal seal from the year 1143 is shown and on the 1 Euro and the 2 Euro coins the Royal seal from the year 1144 is depicted. Encircling the seals are the five coats of arms and the seven castles from the Portuguese Coat of arms. Spelled out between these coats of arms and castles is the country name, Portugal, and the year 2022. In the outer ring of the coins are the 12 stars of Europe. Several 2022 coins of Portugal will not come into loose circulation.
