San Marino BU 2015 with 5 Euro
|Theme||Internationaal Jaar van het Licht|
The United Nations has declared 2015 the International Year of Light. The main reason for this is that people in the world want to be made aware of the light as an energy source. San Marino thought this was such a good initiative that this theme was given to the 2015 BU set. The complete series of 2015 Euro coins from San Marino is packaged in this BU set. As an extra coin there is a silver 5 Euro coin on which the theme æInternational Year of LightÆ is prominently presented. On the face of the coin the word "Light" is displayed in the six official languages of the United Nations, which are Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, English and French. As the seventh language, the word Light is also depicted in Italian (Luce) on the coin. Furthermore, the value of the coin, 5 Euro, and the year of 2015 are shown. On the reverse of the coin the three towers of Monte Titano are stylistically displayed. Additionally, the word Libertas is shown. The issue of this BU set with the extra 5 Euro coin is 17,000 copies.
