Spain 30 Euro 2015 Don Quixote

Who does not know of Don Quixote? The famous Spanish nobleman who fought against windmills. Don Quixote never existed! He is a fictional figure who appears in the books written by the author Cervantes. It is 400 years since Cervantes wrote the second book in which Don Quixote plays the main role with his neighbour Sancho Panza. To commemorate the fact that this book was written 400 years ago Spain has issued this special 30 euro coin. On the coin Don Quixote is portrayed on his horse Riconante accompanied by Sancho Panza. On the left side of the coin, the text æEl Quijote IIÆ refers to the second book. The value of 30 Euro and the years 1615-2015 are also shown. Very special is that there is a windmill in a hologram, the sails of which appear to turn with movement of the coin. On the reverse of the coin is an image of King Filip with his wife Letizia. At the top of the coin is the text æFilipe VI Y LetiziaÆ. At the bottom of the coin is the name España and the year 2015. The quality of this beautiful silver coin is UNC and the issue of this coin is 1,000,000 copies.
