2023 France 2 Euro coin 'World Cup Rugby 2023'. France has issued a special 2 Euro coin with the theme of the 2023 World Cup Rugby. It is the second time that France has organized the Rugby World Cup, the first time was in 2007. The 2023 Rugby World Cup is the most prestigious rugby tournament in the world and has been held every four years since 1987. It will be held from 8th September 2023 to 28th October, 2023. The tournament will take place in different cities, such as Lille, Nice, Paris and Toulouse. Favourite for the tournament is South Africa, which also won the tournament in 2019. On the face of the coin a stylized rugby player is depicted with a ball in his hand. Under his feet the globe is depicted. Furthermore, the text COUPE DU MONDE RUGBY (Rugby World Cup) and the country name FRANCE (France) are shown. Finally, the year of issue, 2023, is displayed. The coin is packaged in a printed coin holder.
