Malta 2 Euro 2022 'Erasmus' Coincard / blister. No less than 19 countries are issuing this 2022 special 2 Euro coin 'Erasmus'! This common coin, with the theme 'Erasmus programme', will be issued by (almost) all countries on 1st July 2022. This coin was designed by Joaquin Jimenez. The Erasmus programme aims to promote student exchanges (internationally) for study or internship as much as possible. More than 3,000 colleges and universities are registered as participants and millions of students have already made use of this Erasmus programme. The Erasmus programme gives students the opportunity to live and learn in a foreign country, which raises the European mentality enormously. On the face of the coin is an image of the Dutch author Desiderius Erasmus, writing a book. Furthermore, the number '35' is shown and all Colleges and Universities are (imaginatively) linked to each other via lines. Finally, the years 1987 - 2022, the programme name ERASMUS PROGRAMME and the country name, Malta, are displayed. This 2022 Maltese 2 Euro coin 'Erasmus' is presented in an attractive packaging (blister) in which the coin is beautifully displayed. The edition is only 20,000 copies!
