2021 Slovenia 2 Euro 'National Museum of Slovenia'. Slovenia has issued a 2 Euro coin in 2021 with the theme The National Museum of Slovenia (Narodni muzej Slovenije). The Museum of Carniola was founded on 15th October, 1821. The museum received donations from all over the country, many of which are still on display in the museum! The special thing about this museum is that it is spread over different locations. Due to its extensive collection the museum, in Ljubljana, became too small which is why it expanded to several branches! The original museum of Carniola can still be visited today. The museum has had several names throughout its history. These different names are displayed on the face of the coin. The country name Slovenija (Slovenia) is also shown along with the year of issue, 2021. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
