2023 Spain 2 Euro coin 'Cáceres'. The Spanish city of Cáceres is the capital of the province of the same name that can be found in the Extremadura region. The city has more than 95,000 inhabitants and the old centre has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1949. The old centre, which is located on the hill, is full of palaces, towers, old buildings and city walls. The city has never actually been destroyed during wars and the old parts have therefore remained almost intact. The city is also known as 'The Jewel of Extremadura'. On the face of the coin is an image of the old town of Cáceres, with the name shown at the bottom of the coin. At the top of the coin is the country name ESPANA (Spain) with the year of issue, 2023, which is shown below the country name. The coin is packaged in a printed coin holder.
