2023 Vatican 2 Euro coin 'Perugino'. Pietro Vannucci, better known as Pietro Perugino, was an Italian painter born in 1446 near Perugia. He learned the art of painting in Florence where he painted in the studio of Andrea del Verrocchio. He collaborated with Leonardo da Vinci and got a lot of inspiration from the Italian painter Piero della Francesca. In 1482 he left for Rome where he helped to create the Frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. On the face of the coin is an image of Perugino, with the baptism of Christ depicted in the background. Furthermore, the country name CITTA DEL VATICANO (Vatican) is shown together with the years 1523 and 2023. The coin is presented in a beautiful light brown packaging.
