Product Description

In 2019 The Vatican is issuing a series of coincards, with postage stamps, for the third time. This time the series consists of two items instead of the normal four items. The first coincard with a stamp was issued by the Vatican in 2011. This was, of course, Number 1. The coincards of the year 2019 have the numbers 30 & 31. The 2019 Vatican 50 Cent coin is packed in every coincard. On this coin the Papal coat of arms is depicted and this coin is of course legal tender. In coincard number 30 is a stamp of the Vatican with a value of €1.10. Mounted in coincard number 31 is a stamp with a value of €1.15. The stamp of €1.10 shows an image of Pope Bergoglio in his younger years. The stamp of €1. 15 shows a picture of Pope Francis. It is remarkable that Pope Francis no longer wants his image to be displayed on the Vatican Euro coins, but that his image is shown on the Vatican postage stamps! Each of these coincards have a different colour - number 30 is brown and blue whilst number 31 is brown.
