Vatican 50 Cent 2015 Coincard with Stamp number 6+7+8+9
The Vatican, normally, issues one coincard each year with a 50 Cent coin, and one coincard with a postage stamp and a 50 cent coin. In 2015, for the first time, the Vatican has chosen to issue a complete series of four postage stamps, with the image of Pope Franciscus I, in four different coincards. In each of the four coincards a Vatican 50 cent coin is packaged on which Pope Franciscus I is portrayed in frontal view. Each coincard contains a different Pope Franciscus I postage stamp. The four postage stamps form a complete series. On each coincard the logo of the æPhilately and NumismaticsÆ office of the Vatican is shown in a different colour. On the back of the coincards, the Pontifical Logo of Pope Franciscus I is depicted. These coincards are, of course, numbered differently with the numbers 6, 7, 8 and 9. There is (quite rightly) some ambiguity about the numbering of the Vatican's Coincards. There are two types of coincard, one with a postage stamp and the other without the stamp. These are numbered sep arately, so there is, for example, a 2015 Vatican coincard without the postage stamp with the number 6, and a 2015 Vatican coincard with the postage stamp also with the number 6.
